I used the 11:25 144A service on Tuesday 24th May from Longbridge Station to Bromsgrove Bus Station. I was on the only passenger from the first stop but we picked up passengers steadily along the way with around 10 onboard through to Bromsgrove, with various joining and leaving throughout the...
There's mutual ticket acceptance at the moment between Southern & Thameslink due to train crew shortages. If the problems continue into your day of travel you may be ok ;)
I follow the WMR twitter feed quite closely and you're looking at around 7 weeks at the moment. What is annoying the heck out of people is if WMR ask for further info, your reply goes to the back of the queue so you're literally waiting months!
They are at Coventry most afternoons when I head home after 4pm. They position themselves on the platform edge on P1 and P3. The platform staff still do the shouting about keeping behind the yellow line whilst the security guards watch up and down the platform to look for the tell-tale...
@blakey1152 If anything like that happens in the future ask your bank to start a chargeback for the failed transaction that was debited. You’ll get your money back within a few days and the onus is on the TOC to prove they were due the money and not for you to prove they weren’t!
The Company can't refuse the chargeback as the claim is made via the customer's bank or credit card company. The chargeback in this case would be a breach of contract and should succeed quite easily if the customer can provide sufficient evidence the coach service was not provided.
I agree a letter before action would be a good idea outlining escalation to the small claims court.
The court can decide if a breach of contract has occurred i.e refusing your changeover by asking for information not mandatory in the contract (NRCOT). You won’t get a season out of it but you...
Transport Focus are so frustrating. They acknowledge your split tickets amount to a journey but then contradict themselves by referring to your "first journey" as your first ticket.
Why can't they comment on other train operators on what they do? - They should be championing a consistent...
I encountered the same problem when doing a dummy booking online.
In reality it should be available almost instantly but give it an hour to be on the safe side. I used to use telesales to buy my gold card 1st class supplements before they were scrapped. The phone call was less than 3 minutes if...
A member of my family makes this journey several times a year to visit us. They prefer the National Express coach because it is quicker and direct (avoids London). If coaches are accessible for you the outward 09:25 (arrive 11:50) is £18.10 and the return 16:20 (arrive 18:50) is £13.00 plus £1...
Yesterday's Nottingham situation demonstrates the diminished rights passengers have with print at home tickets. With EMT if you abandoned your journey on a paper ticket you get a full refund but if you abandoned your journey with a print at home ticket tough luck! Surely this can't be enforceable?
One other thought - was your ticket originally sent to you by post? If so the letter it came with might be enough proof to satisfy any staff you encounter on your journey(s).
Ok, I'm assuming you travel with Greater Anglia? There is a possibility that the ticket office has access to the season ticket database and once your ticket details are verified they may be willing endorse the back of your ticket. I had to do a similar thing with SWT when I wanted to buy 1st...
Who issued your Gold Record Card is the first question?
If was from a TOC a visit to the same TOC's ticket office may prove fruitful with either an endorsement on the rear to see you through 31/12 or you are still entitled to a replacement regardless of the fact you only have a few days of...
