If we're changing the bylaws to fix the problem, why wouldn't you fix the underlying problem rather than putting the innocent ticket holding customer in that position?

I think the issue is that the roof needs considerable work (it leaks and WYCA have recent experience of fixing Leeds which is a similar design). The design is said to also facilitate anti social behaviour and vandalism.

A Sunday when most of their core route is closed due to Engineering so they can't use those resources. If it was a regular arrangement you might have a point, but this seems like a pragmatic solution that is in everyone's interest.

Ah - I think you may be under a common misconception of what legal tender means. It means that it is acceptable by courts to settle a debt.
