Well they haven't all been delivered yet, so might be longer than you think. Plus TB are teasing a launch event, but there's no date attached to it yet....

I know a lot of people hate Streelites, but the ones in Derby seem a lot more reliable than the TrentBarton E200s.

265 now back in use, but who knows (or wants to guess) how long The Allestree will boast a full compliment of working branded buses?

    Arriva Midlands

They really should have come back to Derby. The 38 still has a PVR of 7, but there are only 5 E400s left, meaning the slack has to be picked up by much older Volvos. Derby is extremely is very short on deckers, having only one spare across 1/1A/1C/38 and the Nottingham Uni contract. Does...

    Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Bus News

712 was actually the only bus on Allestree for a while this morning, after 268 missed three trips and 266 broke down on the 1100 trip, to never be seen again.... Mickleover was down to three buses for a while, but then back to four instead of the PVR of six...

There are nine tracking now... Coaches 80/81/82/83/84/87 plus Volvos 712/5/6...astonishing! Allestree also has a full service for probably the first time in a month or more, using three of the branded buses plus 492

Arriva has also submitted a bid for Zebra 2 funding to replace the existing E400s and Volvos from the Sinfin/ Stenson and Alvaston with electric deckers too. Hence the appearance of the. Yutong and rumours of either an Electrodeck or an electric E400 joining it for a competitive evaluation....

That's lifted directly from the UON website. It's supposedly also going to be trialled on the 38 and the Alvaston routes.

The unbranded bus - 4544 - was also out on Hoppers, so that route appeared to be two buses down today. 1710274227 3747 has replaced it in the paint shop

    Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Bus News

The Yutong doesn't appear to have been out today, but 4404 did two trips on the 901 this morning, meaning 3737 has been on the 38 all day. Bustimes is also showing 3739 as being the 38, but in reality, that's 4405, which has been in stealth mode - or disguise if you prefer - since mid Friday...

    Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Bus News

As far as I'm aware, the only non E400MMC to have seen useage on the Unilink services is 4404, on a day when two of the MMC's were VOR. However, I believe the contract states all vehicles must have bike racks, which neither the Yutong nor 4404 have. Given that neither the 1/1A/1C nor the 38...

    Hulley's of Baslow

Sounds a bit like Arriva in Derby many years ago. The story goes that they planned new timetables by sending a bloke with no local local knowledge over from Leicester to drive round the routes in a car on a Sunday afternoon when there was next to no traffic!

Why will 44 incoming EV's only cascade 22 Volvos? Is there an increased PVR in York? Or is it so with recharge time? #genuinelycurious

£2 Price Cap on fares in England - Now extended beyond October 2023

I typically use a minimum of 12 singles a week on Arriva Derby, which would work out at £24, compared to a weekly ticket at £16.50, so no use to me, unless I venture out on a TrentBarton route for beers, which would normally incur a £7 Zigzag ticket..

Arriva Derby's problem isn't lack of drivers, it's the lack of serviceable buses and the amount which break down mid-route.
