Delivery times for these are quite lengthy. No doubt the 3 units are in safe storage at Cadder until the Fife Circle or ACB schemes are authorised for installation. Not currently authorised. The other could possibly be for Dundee.
Yes.
36680 was tracking as itself today. Was on it earlier and the times tie in
Looks like 36881 was tracking as part of 36679 today. As it finished around lunchtime. The rest being 36881 times.
It would mean more powered axles for electric drives.
There currently is a design for an E500ev. However these reworked buses would be substantially cheaper than buying a new vehicle.
A similar process was carried out to 70101 that currently is in use in Glasgow
Would think they will manage to find some off lease emus, like 350s to fit the bill. Not many 321s left that could be converted now. The 350s still have a good few years left in them yet.
There are of course a number of Mark 5 coaches looking for a home. Not many Mark 4 or Mark 3s left looking for hone though. Plentiful supply of suitable locos too Assuming they have enough cash to pay for them.
Been there for around the last 10 days in a Silver livery.
Best viewed from the railway line side of the depot.
Presumably being put into service in March. Assume they will probably need tickets machines transferred from the current 500 buses.
The coaches used are Ex WCML and Anglia. So probably have been used in Push/Pull mode with 86s, 87s and 90s. So would need to be modified for AAR. Probably not a game changer
Today on the 9/9A. However all the losned buses are listed on bus times but not showing services. Even a Streetlite 70101.

Oops that's a Streetdevck EV if it's here. Could be a demo for the 500 maybe.

Perhaps Dumbarton will just go electric
