    GW 769s to Scotrail?

These paths look like test runs and will be able to get OHL Power at Barassie. The Ayr line is currently closed beyond Prestwick Town to electric trains. With a diesel shuttle to Ayr due to a dangerous building being removed.

    Haymarket to Dalmeny electrification

Think it has been delayed due to a lack of cash. Who knows a new financial year next week. May start up again. However SPL are busy doing the East Kilbride electrification for now. So very doubtful.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

No doubt the scenic way to Oxley all counts towards the units mileage accumulation. When an 807 is despatched it goes via Edinburgh and the ECML then the WCML On electric. They even put in an odd trip to Glasgow for mileage. All of which is cleated to use.

    GW 769s to Scotrail?

If you believe the latest rumours the chance for ScotRail to replace the HSTs will be when EMR get their 810s and 222s are looking for a new home. Meantime the HSTs will need to soldier on in better numbers

    Eurostar E300 replacements?

SNCF 4537 Was the machine. 1709489517 T The AGV was a single deck modern version of a TGV with traction along the unit rather than a power car at each end. Obviously targeted as a TGV replacement but then double deck trains came on the scene. A few were bought by Italo in Italy. he A

    Eurostar E300 replacements?

Passing through Rotterdam the other day. What would normally be the Eurostar service to London was being run as an Amsterdam to Brussels and Paris service. With a multi voltage French TGV Set. Which presumably would be sitting in the depot before it's Brussels to South France service. So...

    East Kilbride/Barrhead electrification updates

Perhaps the East Renfrewshire Council has had it's budget cut like all local Authorities. Even the Scottish Government has seen it's major Projects budget cut. Although it must be said that the Council is one of the more well heeled authorities. It would be the main benefactor of a new road and...

    East Kilbride/Barrhead electrification updates

Perhaps there is room for a new alignment but it it nerds purchasing land and the owner is asking silly prices. It would certainly reduce the current replacement time and hassle. Guess it could be compulsory purchased.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

The plan seems to be that Birmingham to Glasgow and Edinburgh services will continue to be Pendolinos.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

Think the plans are to run two units together. One for North Wales and the other for Blackpool splitting at Crewe. Two 7 cars units would be too long for platforms However a 7 and 5 car could just about fit platforms

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

Like all good railway systems TASS is the tilt activation and speed sensor system fitted on the Pendolinos. Which activated the tilt system on the coaches. The speed sensor bit checks that the correct speed is used by the train on curves. A bit like a black box The train picks up the...

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

Pendolino production has stopped in the UK. However the trains are still produced in Italy for European customers. No doubt the drawings and jigs will still be available. 1708463331 Slightly off topic but a recent Pendolino produced for services from Switzerland to Italy.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

The problem could simply be that no company currently has an approved titling 125mph train approved for use in the UK Guess more Pendolinos could be built, but there is not a dual mode version approved. When Noeth Wales is electrified that would not be a problem.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets
