While it launched in 2022, I didn’t actually join until 2023. I still don’t really see why the year of the scheme matters?

Have Avanti forgotten how old their own loyalty programme is? I’ve just received my annual renewal email with it all being centred on my fourth year as a Club Avanti member. Given the programme launched in 2023 that would make this my third year.

I believe this is so that the Driver is able to see the route indicator on the signal at the end of the platform. As the platform curves away if they stopped level with the station building they wouldn’t be able to see if the route indicator is illuminated, so could be a wrong route risk...

I completely agree, the entire situation would have been avoided had Avanti done the right thing and ensured there was some sort of organisation.

On my last few journeys booked directly with Avanti I have received email notifications informing me of updates to my journey which seems to be a new thing as I have never received anything previously. One was sent around 12pm for a cancellation at 6pm and another was sent a few days before...

I was told that people prefer listening to a female voice, but are more likely to follow the instructions of a male voice which I guess matches the rationale for some of the announcements being female and others male.
