    SJPN Issued (Merseyrail)

Some good advice in this thread but some bizarre too. If the OP's son received a Single Justice Procedure Notice, the matter is already in court. They cannot ignore it unless the son wants to be found guilty by default. They should be either pleading guilty or not guilty (some advice above...

Transport investigations limited threats of court

Are they offering you an out of court settlement? If not it is unclear to me what they hope to achieve by persisting in correspondence rather than seeking a prosecution. As you say they are ignoring what you are saying. If you are going to get into further discussion with them, l would request a...

    Ircas after 30 months!

I'd consider complaining to my London AM or even Sadiq directly'. I'm pretty sure they even used to say you were not legally obliged to pay outstanding penalty fare when requesting payment for the penalty fare from parents By any chance was your child traveling to or from school at the time...

    Ircas after 30 months!

Really scraping the barrel here and hoping people just cave in. Edit. Just read the letter. Its headed as a NIP. This nonsense just gets better.

Help please! TfL nominee pass confiscated

Is the nominee pass like an oyster such that the nominee/OP can get the last few weeks travel history? If so.might be useful to download it to prepare to counteract. Also collect any evidence of his other ticket purchases and a chronology of his travel history I'm not saying you need to...

Advice Only for Greater Anglia - Delay Repay Fraud

There isn't much of a difference in conviction rates between magistrates and crown courts though if I was being charged with fraud I'd probably elect for a Jury trial. We don't really know what the likelihood of anyone who hasn't paid GA off being charged and subsequently convicted. Many a...

    Uk court hearings

For either way or indictable offences you do not have to indicate a plea at the first hearing

Advice Only for Greater Anglia - Delay Repay Fraud

That's why people are advised to take a legal adviser with them, who should ask for disclosure before interview and advises accordingly.

Need help with a criminal charge

Did you actually appeal online. If so check your emails and maybe chase them up to find out what they did/ask them to send you copies of any previous letters. As Furlong said it's important to know exactly what had happened to any appeal as they maybe barred from prosecuting you.

    Fare evasion

That wouldn't prevent them proceeding if there were open or indeed no barriers

    Fare evasion

Unless the starting station had open barriers. Even then a lot of missing information here. Was the contactless card in your name? Can the content of the email be uploaded, covering up personal details? Which police station? What have you been charged with? Was there an interview?

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

Hanson. Now take everything to an employment solicitor and see if there are grounds for an appeal or unfair dismissal. I had a nonsense situation at a former workplace where I was accused of breaching my contract and presented with further new accusations when I filed a grievance. I thought I...

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

Again, I never claimed he should take a solicitor to a disciplinary proceeding. Taking legal advice and taking a Union rep to a disciplinary hearing are not mutually exclusive options. Taking advice from multiple sources is not mutually exclusive either, and is in fact what the OP did by...

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

Well a lot of posts on here were talking about employment records as if that's a thing. Yet in all likelihood of a reference confirming anything more than dates of employment was what the OP would have received, regardless what type of employee. No organisation wants to risk the hassle of...

Received MG11 - help! What happens now?

Well the accusations relate to refunded tickets and short-faring. So Have you had tickets refunded for journeys that you have taken? Have you bought tickets that don't cover the full length of the journey you took? No one can really advise unless you answer the above two questions.

TOC demanding pension repayments after dismissal - a thing?

Normally contributions stop and you can move or cash in whatever has been accrued, much like if you moved jobs. However, trying to get back the company's contributions when you were employed is similar to trying to take back part of your wages back. I very much doubt anyone would try to do...

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

Its unfortunate the OP didn't get independent legal advice a long time ago and doesn't appear to have been able to delay the hearing. If they're not happy with the outcome on Monday they can and shy still seek some legal advice.

Try and get the hearing rescheduled.

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

You can ring employment law solicitors for advice. You can also ring ACAS. They can read through everything and give advice and possibly make representations of it comes to that. Edit: as Tallguy suggests above, a referral to your union solicitor, might be better Im not suggesting he takes one...

    Misuse of Spouse travel Pass

Get a solicitor. They will understand better and articulate better. Things like coercive control mentioned earlier in the thread, would be better understood by a solicitor, and if it can be argued, articulated better. How do you provide evidence a marriage is rocky and stressful.
