They get alot of grief on social media, especially when its raining, but I agree they manage it well considering how difficult the logistics are! Though I probably still try to avoid it if I can (last time there was an event on and I was needing to travel I got the coach instead).
Looks like a few timetable changes in Bristol later this month.
Not looked in too much detail but looks to be frequency reductions for the 70 which is disapointing to say the least...
Indeed I just about remember that happening, I guess what I dont know is why those platforms have now been shortened again. Maybe so passengers dont end up miles away from where the tram-trains will stop? I guess as that least those 3 have been done by just gating across some of the platform...
I know Ton Pentre station had its platform shortened as part of the electrification works, and according to a doc on the TfW site so did Porth and Dinas -...
I go to quite a lot though mainly smaller ones at independent venues. I'm part of the community ownership of the Exchange in Bristol and am part of the Music Venue Trusts "own our venues" scheme. And most of my friends are from going to gigs. So yeah. Last one was The Dreadnoughts at The Fleece...
I just don't understand how those people can't see that maybe voting Tory for 14 years and voting for Brexit has made things so bad that theres no chance any party could improve it in the year Labour have had!
From my memory at least Treherbert trains have regularly terminated at Central for ages.
Back when I was younger they used to run through to Barry yes, but that was a while ago!
I don't think its so much he was ignored. The fact is that despite the right wing belief, there isn't actually a huge amount of government spending you can actually cut without taking the axe to large programmes that would require governments to make huge and unpopular changes - literally axing...
That is more due to the fact airplane seats are allocated and you aren't able to just change seats at will once onboard. The last time I flew someone got told off for moving rows and made to go back to their allocated seat, and that was with easyJet so nothing to do with class of seat!
Interesting given their website says toilets at Treherbert and Tonypandy with no mention of Treorchy - https://tfw.wales/projects/metro/faqs. When did that plan change, and will Treherbert and Tonypandy still get toilets too?
Of course opening negotiations doesn't mean following through with an agreement if the terms don't suit you. Infact with coalition governments across the world its pretty common for negotiations with one party to fail and for them to carry on with another.
And this is exactly what happened on the Cardiff pompey services when the turbos were introduced.
It may well be solved now, but given we are talking what the actual rules are what happened a few years ago is still relevant.
I'll also say im not so convinced that all turbos used on the Cardiff...
The top signs are black and green though, so they do have a clearly different colour.
For the signs in Wales, maybe this is just a being used to it thing but I really dont see how its any different to trying to find the bit of information you care about on any road sign, even in just English.
I think they have been in nearly all units now thanks to refurbishments etc, but certainly on day one they hadn't been. And it did actually take a while for at least some of the general public to realise those areas were able to be used.
Surely its no different to the 165s when they were first introduced on the Cardiff to Portsmouth and local bristol services? Nobody here would be claiming their ex first class areas should be out of bounds for standard class customers surely?
Its still a fraction of the education spend. But no its the wider budget that's important because lots of different things could be redirected to education if wanted. This isn't a simple decision between Welsh language spending or education spending. Governments can have multiple priorities and...
Its also worth adding parents are more than welcome to send their kids to an English medium school too. One where maybe the parents would be able to be more involved in their kids education and actually be able to help out with homework and the like. Actually that is one of the big issues with...
