I noticed 8 car stop signs have gone up around the Merseyrail network. Obviously for the new class 777s. But I was wondering why they are on striped boards rather than the fairly straightforward smaller ones showing 3,4 and 6 car stopping points.

Whilst browsing the manual of tne London Birmingham addon, I read that train companies were unhappy with simulations becoming too accurate. Lest people should use them for less than honourable purposes. Bear in mind this is the 2001 game. What kind of things might train operators have had in mind?
