    Class 730 LNR & WMR Delivery/test Updates

They increased the frequency of the Liverpool services on weekdays during peak time, alongside all day on Saturdays. As a result, the previous 1tph 8 car service went down to 2tph 4 car, increasing the frequency, but keeping capacity the same. The 10 350s from TPE helped with the Chase Line...

WMR Class 196 Build and Implementation

Coventry no longer sign 172s, so it'd be near-impossible to run 172s on the NUCKLE.

I noticed that too, the MU125 has been in place for a while between Rugby and Coventry, but the PS doesn’t go above 100mph between Rugby and Brum. Presumably Avanti drivers aren’t familiar with the MU differential yet, despite this one having been in place for some time.

Rugby-Coventry and Penkridge-Stafford are both MU125, other sections haven’t been raised yet.

Assuming you meant Birmingham New Street, and not Barnes, there is a 10mph speed limit on the platforms.

What is the difference between the class 350 subclasses?

The 350/4s were refurbished a few years ago now (2020 or 2021), right after the 350/1s, though the /4s had less done in standard class than the /1s. The 350/3s were refurbished beginning in October last year.

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway

Off-topic, but, they're being used in addition to the existing dispatch arrangement, not as a replacement for the guard. Whether that'll change in the future, is anybody's guess.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

I managed to catch the 11:15 today from Wolverhampton to Coventry, the train coped quite well with the crowds considering it was 5 carriages, and I found them to be more pleasant lighting-wise than the other IETs, and the PIS screens are very clear and make it much easier to figure out your...

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

Similar service to a voyager on 805s. 807s have a bigger galley which will offer the Pendolino offering.

The Avanti units have new GU’s, which are meant to be more reliable than the older 80x, I believe the 810s have this new design too.

They have the same seats as a Pendolino. I think most passengers would rather have the additional capacity, I'm certainly looking forward to it.

    Bearley/Claverdon: Request Stops?

They are marked as request stops on the WMR route map: https://www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk/media/4052/download?inline They are also down as request stops on the PIS on board, denoted by an X in brackets.

Progress on Avanti West Coast's 805/807s Hitachi AT300 sets

It was always the plan to use 807s on the Euston-Birmingham semifast alongside Liverpools. An 807 has 404 seats in standard, which is 29 more than a 9-car 390, so capacity should be fine most hours if/when the Birmingham service runs at the full 3tph.

Nope, this video from managers at Avanti states that they will use manual changeover while stopped at stations: (44:37 if it hasn’t automatically loaded at that timestamp). It also includes many in depth details regarding the fleet itself.

The vast majority of the stop markers at rugby have also been replaced, other than a 57+390 stop on platform one and a few on platform six. Most rolling stock specific markers have gone, having been replaced with much simpler markers, the 9/11 390 ones have been replaced with 9-12 markers for...

All 730s accepted have this AFAIK, there are a few undergoing test without them, notably some of the earlier 730/2s.
