    Class 707 to Southeastern Dates

What is the long term plan for the 707s? Will more be ordered as a bulk replacement for older trains like the networkers and/or 376s?

    Northern Line

is there way way a few extra 1995 stock "replicas" could be built? Obviously not identical but something mechanically similar

Possible changes to Southern & SouthEastern rolling stock?

Aren't the 377/375s limited by software in terms of acceleration? So in theory could they be as fast as a 465?

TFL Overground to take over Southeastern Metro?

Does that mean 376s to LO? Might finally get some attention

Why does the 357 accelerate almost 2x as fast as every other electrostar?

Something to do with gearing maybe? Isn't the max speed of the 357s 75mph?

    EMR Class 360's

Is there any news on the planned refurbishment?
  7. C

What recent improvements have their been in rolling stock technology/production, and how has this developed over the years?

Train acceleration? Comparing an Aventra/Electrostar/Desiro to any mk3 based EMU really shows how far we have come

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

And there are 321s in storage. Seems strange they haven't taken them on

    Class 710 LO

Saw a 710 (couldn't get the number) at Enfield Town. Looks nice next to a 317 which shows a pretty big difference!

Personal favorite train from the 2010s....

I thought this would be interesting to see what peoples' favorite trains are. Only one rule really: They have to had been introduced to service between 2010-2019

    Greater Anglia Class 379 Off-lease?

To me it makes sense for the 379s to displace the 387s on Great Northern as well as getting rid of as many 365s as possible, so more of the 387 can transfer to Southern and start to replace the 313s
  12. C

Could there be a Greater Anglia railtour/send-off for their old rolling stock?

And I doubt the 379s would get any send off, yes they are native to the route but there only around 8 years old so there isn't much of an iconic status there either.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Is it true that the 379s are going to be shipped to Gautrain in South Africa??? (obviously in due course)

EMR Electrics - are 360s the right option?

If the 745s are in service by the time the 360s need to leave, I would have thought that the 379s could be displaced to do the 360s duties?

EMR Electrics - are 360s the right option?

I heard August 2020 is the leave date for the 360s. I doubt the 720s will be ready by then but I reckon the 745s would be. Could the 745s displace the 379s so they could cover the loss of the 360s when the time comes?

EMR Electrics - are 360s the right option?

Also the 360s are due to get a good upgrade (so it's said) to include WiFi, tables and obviously a higher top speed. I reckon they chose the right option because they are well built trains and once refurbished will be even better. It's interesting too see what others say!

Most beautiful train in the UK?

EMU: 460 (GatEx) 378 (LO) DMU: 172 (LO) Loco: 43 in LNER livery

EMR Electrics - are 360s the right option?

The Class 360s were built for First Great Eastern in 2002/3. They are due to transfer to EMR for services to Corby out of Kings Cross next year, But were 360s the right option? Could 379s be a better option?

    Ugliest Train in the UK?

Class 455 Class 168 (the original units not the ones that have Turbostar front ends)

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

That could turn out to be a problem. If the 379s find a new home, and the 360s have left, there will be plenty more Class 321 and 317 short forms to come. The 745s will probably be in service soon enough, so they can directly replace the 379s, which means the 379s could cover for the 360s when...
