    KWVR NEWS AND UPDATES

If you live nearby, Dont work or have the luxuary of staying over or doing a few days then sure it is fine. I dont tick any of those boxes I am limited to saturday and travel significant distance by Public Transport. Appears far too late in the day for me. But thats my problem.

    KWVR NEWS AND UPDATES

Should be a great event and hope it goes well. Had been looking forward to the Colas 37 and the FL70, but both very limited appearances and difficult to get so for me, that sort of rules me out this year. Best wishes and thanks to all those who will have undoubtedly worked hard to organise.

    Class 37 65th Birthday Gala

Would be nice to get a steer. With lots of competing events, sure lots of people might wish to know whether to keep the weekend free. Sure it ill be a crackin event though. The SVR rarely let us down

Pathfinder Tours "The Torbay Coastal Grid" 14th June 2025

As someone said above. This itinerary has been done to death and the attraction of Appleby very limited IMO. Very dissapointed that Torbay cancelled. Given to understand that the cancellation due to lack of rolling stock, so not sure why the change of destination.

Pathfinder Tours "The Torbay Coastal Grid" 14th June 2025

You are 100% correct Iskra. Noticed today that the Torbay tour and one other Pathfinder tour i had booked are no longer on the website, so assume must be cancelled. No contact from the company yet, and nothing on their newsfeed. If both are cancelled, i wont be booking again. Customers also have...

    Pathfinder - We're Going Everywhere Trains - July 18/19 2025

Yes. Sure you are right. Been spoiled a bit in the past with most things picking up in the Midlands somewhere. For me, Bristol is that little bit too far and adds too much to the cost, so reluctantly will have to give a miss. To be fare though loads of others still come through the Midlands, so...

    Pathfinder - We're Going Everywhere Trains - July 18/19 2025

Normally love these tours and hàve been waiting a while for one. As Pathfinder principal market seems to center around the Midlands, real shame they havent been able to include a Midland pick up. Maybe another year wait. Oh well. Hope the tour goes well. If it is fully booked then that...

    NYMR news and updates.

Happens every year without fail and likely to happen more and more often. Much as i dont normally approve NYMR is a railway that could really benefit from a few oil fired steam engines. Did i read that Vera Lynn might be oil fired or did i dream that? Is there any spark arresting technology...

    New Stagecoach bus livery

Was hoping that i would grow to like it but still think it a very poor decision. Look ok ish when ex works but when most buses in a town are runnng around in a faded and dirty version of that livery it is going to look so depressing. I am just hoping that they try and keep them as clean as they...

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Stagecoach new ADL400EV YX25OAP was running around Matlock today. Stopped in the bus station for a while. Presume driver training. No fleet number on the vehicle yet. Anybody know what it is likely to be?

    AVON VALLEY DEFRAUDED OF £50,000

Think all heritage railways need to look carefully at this and make sure that they are not soft targets. Terrible for the AVR. Hope they bounce back soon.

    NYMR news and updates.

You make a good point SteveM70. The NYMR also has a tourist location that would be the envy of many other lines in the country. I guess that the recipe for making the railway sustainable is proving difficult to find. All options seem to have drawbacks or upset some people. All i do know is that...

    NYMR news and updates.

Think it would be nice if we could all stand and pull together to help our wonderfull preserved railways pull through in these challenging times. Volunteers work their socks off. We just have to turn up and enjoy the day. I fully understand that cost is high for all involved and this is a...

    SVR Embankment collapse

Central News just reported that SVR has thanked people for their donations and the line due to reopen next weekend. Made it sound like the problem was fixed. I am assuming they mean part reopen. If so, bit misleading and hope it doesnt put people off donating.

    New Stagecoach bus livery

Still a few being rolled out in the dark blue, but some still being painted in local livery so looks like they havent made their minds up. Having seen a few of the work stained dark blue examples, they really do look terrible. Very difficult to see in the dark. Someone commented on one of the...

    Stagecoach Manchester discussion

Hi Folks. Sorry to ask such a basic question. Sure it has been done to death in the Forum, Just struggling to find it. Am i correct in thinking that stagecoach still retains Stockport, Oldham and Queens Road depots but handed over all the others? Do they still run out of Wigan, or has that gone...

How are you all coping with the £3 cap?

Nice while it lasted. Fair play to the last government for introducing. Served its purpose i imagine and was only ever going to be temporary, although seems that the new admin couldnt wait to bin it off. Maybe £2.50 might have been a more gental way of acclimatising people but hey ho. Would...
