Yes, apart from it will be going to Preston at 1846 rather than Birmingham.

Last Friday the 90 went to Birmingham and a Pendolino went to Preston (and then carrried on to Glasgow). Not sure what it will do this Friday now the flights are getting back to normal.

i think national rail says and virgin trains says that it running additional services for this week, the airports are open but the fligths won't be back to normal till a good few weeks

I struggle to understand how it would be of much use to people going to the DW stadium, when the football match kicked off at 1330 and the 90 set arrived from Euston in Wigan at 1548 (16 down).

I would have thought Arsenal fans would get the 0845 or 0945 at the latest off Euston and that Virgin would have uterlised the 90 in both directions for football fans by running it up in the morning from Euston.

It was chartered by Arsenal to take the team back to Watford (nearest station to their training ground) after the game. They also used it on the Saturday to get to Wigan.

In the early 70s Luton Town FC regularly had a charter train for the players and supporters, an associate of mine was driving the train up the WCML and he got signalled from the Fast Lines to the Slow lines somewhere in the Stafford area.
Unfortunately he was single manned and must have had a temporary lack of concentration, I think the train crossed from fast to slow rather quicker than it was supposed to.
A few days later he got a letter from the Area mangers office to "Please Explain"

Not for long - give it a few weeks, the unit damaged at Oxley (004) will be back in service as an 8-car train while the remaining vehicle is repaired (E) from where it struck OLE as it derailed.
