Hi, I'm sure this question has been raised before so apologies. Have been invited to take the online assessment for trainee train driver in Bletchley. As I have not changed career in 20 year's or ever taken online tests before I am really nervous. Has anyone taken this test recently and can give me a few pointers (I'm not asking to cheat) on what to study up on before I sit the test? I haven't used Maths for years so really rusty, I know I would need to brush up on this before hand, Some old posts have suggested multiple choice common sense sort of questions but these were assessments in 2019? Any help or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

I got 10 emails, an apology email that the links weren't working, followed by another email with the same link - done all the questions, now another wait!

Hi, I'm really nervous about this as I have never done any online assessments? Can you tell me what sort of questions they are and do you have a time limit etc?

Dont worry about them too much. You have a number of questions that have multiple choice answers. They are based around everyday situations ( regarding being a train driver) and you just choose what your response would be to each situation. Its not timed but they suggest 30mins. Good luck !

Completed mine yesterday, all based on common sense really. I believe (fingers crossed) the next stage is a video interview is that correct?

Has anyone completed the first online assessment and heard anything back yet?

I completed mine on 7th July and haven't heard anything since. I'm guessing there are alot of application and it may take some time to hear, but interested to know if anyone has heard back yet?

Thanks

Hi, I'm brand new here, so please be gentle.

I have also applied for the Bletchley job and received an email a couple of weeks ago saying that I am through to the video interview. I have been trying to find out as much as I can ,as what to expect, but so far I only have more questions than answers!
I bought all the How2Become guides and tests and so far Im doing so-so(the attention and recognition tests I seem to be very bellow par in) .
I was wondering if any of you who are in the same position would like to get our heads together on here for some support?
I am a machine operator currently, with class 2 driving and more machine work backround.
anyway, I hope to talk to anyone willing to share...well, anything!

Has anyone heard back yet good or bad?
Just another update,I just got an email saying that after reviewing their requirements for 2021 they might not need anybody else in that year and saying that they will keep me posted for 2022. I was due to have video interview after applying before last summer and getting through the first couple of stages.
Hey ho , there's always next- next year :)
Have you had an update?

Hi, Thanks for the update. No, I haven't had an update since September stating that they were taking a while to get through the applications and I would hear back in due course. I didn't want to chase, but nothing still so not too optimistic!
