After a recent trip to the Eastleigh PlusBus zone, I found that it's bisected by the M3, and few if any bus services cross from the Eastleigh side to the Chandler's Ford side, leaving the North-West portion, if not unusable, then at least very inconvenient to use.
The zone includes Chandler's Ford railway station, but it is not possible to buy a "Chandler's Ford+BUS" ticket.
The main 'heart' of Chandler's Ford is the Fryern Hill area, which is a fairly stiff 17 minute uphill walk from Chandler's Ford railway station.
So, to get there, one can either travel by train to Chandler's Ford railway station, and then get an onward bus - but without the benefit of PlusBus.
Or, one can head by train to Eastleigh, and then use PlusBus to get to Fryern Hill.
Unfortunately for the latter option, as mentioned direct buses between the two seem almost non-existent, and even taking two buses can involve a grim 17 minute walk under the M3 and across an ASDA car park.
Simple answer - a Chandler's Ford+BUS ticket. Anyone against?
