Advance ticket transfer between Kings Cross & Marylebone

A group of us have advance tickets that includes a London Underground transfer between Kings Cross and Marylebone.

Journey planners suggest interchanging at Baker Street or Oxford Circus onto the Bakerloo.

So my question is, would it be possible to just take a H&C/Circle train to Baker Street and exit there, then walk to Marylebone?

Yes, this is perfectly permissible and I would normally do this unless it were raining. It's almost certainly quicker, what with the total disorganised mess that is Baker Street station.
