Advance Tickets refund- HELP!

I am a colossal idiot and bought two sets of advance tickets (me+ a friend) for the wrong weekend which i payed and confirmed before realising my mistake on the Southeastern website for collection at my local TVM which is unstaffed (Maidstone Barracks). I was under the mistaken impression that it would be a simple case of going into my Southeastern account and just click cancel. Nope! Followed the links to the Southeastern refund page only to be told that i would need to go to my local ticket office to get it fixed (i guess this would be Maidstone East??) Kinda freaking out as they werent cheap at all

Any advice / help would be appreciated

Advance tickets are non-refundable but the date and time of departure can be changes if you pay the difference in price. Most retailers charge an admin fee of £10 per ticket to make the change as well.

You should be able to do this via your online account.

Ahh i see, thats not great. Thanks for the heads up, definitely learnt my lesson....

I made a similar mistake recently when I bought advance tickets for the wrong w/e on avanti, once I'd managed to find the phone number I rung up and the lady refunded them. Sometimes its worth asking.

Advance tickets can be changed, but not refunded. This can be done through your Southeastern website account, if you chose to set one up. If you did not choose to set up an account, or you have chosen paper tickets and already collected them from a ticket machine, you'll need to visit a staffed station to make these changes.

It is not Southeastern policy to charge a £10 admin fee for changing Advance tickets on their services, though if the new journey is more expensive, the fare difference will need to be paid.

Indeed, and the sooner the better.
