Yvette Cooper has been piping up recently moaning the works are taking too long and 'letting the North down' :D

Although from what I've seen the replacement buses have been running like clockwork and I was particularly impressed with one operator who seems to have managed to convert the Northern logo into a digital format for their destination display screen!

Looks like reopening on the 29th as good progress has been made.

Line now confirmed to be reopen with services from Leeds via Wakefield running to Knottingley again from Monday 29th April.

Services from Leeds via Castleford will start running to Knottingley from Saturday 4th May with rail replacements continuing until then.

Some progress on Knottingley trains. Network Rail has said the landslip is now repaired. Northern Rail says it is restarting services.
Train services from Wakefield & Pontefract to Knottingley will restart on Monday, April 29th

Trains from Castleford to Knottingley will restart on Saturday, May 4th (with continued rail replacement buses until then).

I’m glad the work is now complete after we called on them to make it a priority. Knottingley needs its train service back.

Is there a speed restriction in place hence the Leeds - Knottingleys (via Castleford) still terminating at Cas for now?
It's because the crew diagrams can't be changed at such a late hour. The via Wakefields have 40 mins at Pontefract at the moment so will just carry on to Knottingley for 30 mins, where as the Castleford ones just shuttle back and forth with 15 mins at Castleford

Correct. NWR advice was too late.
