Hello

A friend is travelling from Battle to Victoria and return the next day.

Does anyone know if an off peak return from Battle to London Terminals is valid Battle -> Waterloo East / Waterloo -> Clapham Junction -> Victoria?

Thanks

That's not valid I'm afraid, once you reach a London Terminal (e.g. Waterloo East) you may continue to or through others (e.g. Charing Cross) but you may not go through any stations that are not London Terminals (e.g. Clapham Junction).

Your friend could change at East Croydon for a train to Victoria if on a train that stops there, otherwise would be best off using Oyster or a contactless payment card to get the tube (from Charing Cross the quickest way is to walk to Embankment and get the Circle or District lines)

Another option is to change at Orpington onto a train to Victoria.

While NRE is happy to give an itinerary via Waterloo and Clapham Junction, it is slower than changing at Charing Cross or Orpington.

I should have mentioned that my friend wants to go that particular route and not via Charing Cross or changing at Orpington.

If London Terminals tickets are not valid via this route should I assume it was a bug in NRE that says this is a valid route?
