Hi all,

Really sorry for the random nocturnal question. My other half is travelling through BHM tomorrow and needs to grab some cosmetics from the Boots store there. I've had a good google but can't find the store's actual location within the complex. Can one of you fine folks familiar with the area advise, please?

Thanks in advance!

Jim.

Adjacent to the ticket barriers for the 'B' end of the low numbered platforms. If standing facing the huge row of screens in front of the booking office and WH Smith, it's to the right.

There's also a pretty big high street Boots near New Street station in the Bullring: follow signs for Smallbrook Queensway (the ground level 'A' end exit) and it's straight in front of you across the road. Less than a minute door to door.

Again - thank you. Great info!

Good luck with that I`ve found the new design Birmingham New Street a nightmare, I seem to be forever passing through ticket barriers just to change platforms, lol

Use the north end of the station.

And "north" isn't a great descriptor for an end of a station that runs east-west...

IIRC I had to get from I think 6 to 1 which involved two sets of ticket barriersa and a long walk, only after that farce were we told "use the stairs at the B end".

I haven't tried it since the rebuild so I don't know if this would work anymore, but I used to occasionally use the lifts to access the underground subway that links all the platforms - often was much quicker than going 'upstairs'.

I've found that my monthly season stops working the gates after about a week.

Use the north end of the station.

I have a sub recommended time (4 mins) connection between 2A and 10A using the "A end" concourse is often the only way to make it.
