Yes, even though there aren't fares listed from Euston to Clapham Junction using London Overground via Willesden Junction, it is still possible to use Oyster or Contactless for this journey, with the relevant fare charged.

You could also consider walking to St Pancras - it takes about 8 mins to the Thameslink platform entrance, if you take the signed 'shortcut' that avoid the Euston Road. From there, either take Thameslink to Blackfriars and walk to Waterloo, or take Thameslink to East Croydon and change there for Clapham Junction.

Presumably London Terminals to Clapham Junction route "Any Permitted" isn't valid (via Willesden Junction)?

It is valid. I've checked a couple of ticket sites and they sell it.

the RMT are the drivers on 90% of tubes
You may think that but it's an ASLEF strike that's going to shut the system down next Thursday. I can't imagine that would happen if only 10% of drivers were striking.

According to The Standard ASLEF represents 2,000 drivers on the underground while RMT has 10,000 members, so you figures cannot possibly stack up.

It would be far better to use Contactless or Oyster for this journey, than to obtain a point-to-point ticket.

Is the journey just Euston to Clapham Junction, with nothing else planned?

If LU is still showing as running, even though it isn't, you may need to specify a via point. However it would surely be better to do something else, such as walk to St Pancras, or take a bus etc.

Yes just literally tap in and tap out like you would on the underground, and you can take literally any route you like (within reason!)

That's irrelevant if the OP is using contactless
To be fair, the OP did say that they had been looking at ticket buying sites, and had been looking for a ticket specifically from London Euston (to Clapham Junction).

This Thursday 7th Nov.

How did you find the fares as whenever i put in London Euston to Clapham Junction in it keeps bringing up part of the route on the underground.
Seriously, contactless or Oyster is best for this type of journey.

I got the TPE site to validate a traditional ticket by putting in via Willesden Junction.

I've just got Southern to validate a ticket Euston to Gatwick via Willesden for £14.40 anytime single. Perhaps Euston is now allowed as a London Terminal when travelling from the Brighton line? I'm sure it didn't used to be.

It's a bit left field, but buses 1; 68 from Euston to Waterloo, and then train to CLJ?
Probably quicker than EUS-WLJ-CLJ ... and certainly cheaper (£1.75 bus and £3.10 train).
Much more frequent as well.

Buses tend to get overrun with demand in the instance of strike action on the underground.

True enough, but the Overground trains mentioned are likely to be super-busy on a strike day as well, and at 4 TPH it's a long time to wait if one is full!!
Route 68 starts from Euston, so there is more chance of getting on a bus there.
It's an alternative.....

Another route is the 8 minute walk from Euston to St Pancras Thameslink.
Thameslink train to Denmark Hill then Overground train Denmark Hill to Clapham Junction.

Alternatively just walk down Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross Road and walk over Waterloo Bridge

I can't access bus info at present, but from memory the journey should take 15-25 minutes, depending ...
Look at the bus station diagrams for stop info ... they "may" be on the TfL website under maps. It's basically straight ahead from the main Euston exit.
If nothing else, it may be useful for a trial run, even if the tubes are running.

The 68 leaves from bus stop E which is to the left as you come out of the station heading towards Eversholt Street.

Seems it will be all ok as the Drivers strike has been called off.

Many thanks to all who have given me advice.
