I know about SABRE, I was just wondering what other car/driving/roads forums exist out there?

Surely many of the petrolhead forums are full of invective about learners being allowed on 'their' motorways. :)

PistonHeads is a great site and forum, I've actually been to Le Mans with some of the guys from there and it was a right laugh!

I bet that was quite a trip. I’d like to do similar in future, the Nurburgring is on the list as well (if we are still allowed in post Brexit :D).

Goodwood is the only real motoring “thing” I’ve done and I loved it both times I’ve been (both the FOS and the revival). The airfield is pretty decent to fly into as well.

There are a few 'petrolheads' at my depot. One is a real nutjob and takes his motor round Brands on a regular basis. I'm tempted to take mine :/ One has his 'Mr Magoo' car and attends classic meets regularly. I take my kids to Brands for various theme days and they aren't great but we do have a bit of fun and take some good photos.

I've always missed Goodwood due to timings with work but I really want to go.

It was superb, did it two years in a row - we drove down in a convoy which included an Aston Martin One-77 and a classic Bentley that actually took part in the 1930 24 Hour race! Would absolutely go again and Nurburgring is on my list too.

And strangely enough I had tickets for Goodwood the day after the EU referendum but couldn't make it, I was due to fly back from a holiday in Marseille on referendum day but my flight was cancelled to due to a French air traffic control strike so I had to get a TGV, Eurostar then Virgin West Coast service to Manchester - managed to get back and vote in time but I was so shattered after all that, that I didn't fancy the long drive to Goodwood the following day!

Don't forget the ones who want ALL speed limits abolished to be replaced by a concept of "safe speed".

Apparently, the only person who can decide what is a safe speed, is the nut behind the wheel!
