Good Evening, I wonder if anybody would be able to help me with the above.

I've got an appointment with a client in Brighton (2mins walk from the main Brighton station) next Friday (20th), mid afternoon. I ideally would like to park outside Brighton and get the train in.... (saves fighting the traffic / local parking issues, blah, blah).

I parked at Hassocks a few weeks ago on a Saturday and that was brilliant - easy to park for the princely sum of £2 p/d......I'm guessing that is rammed during the week?:(

Any advice would be much appreciated please - I'll be coming from the "Gatwick" direction if this helps.....TIA

As a born and bred "Hassocksite" (?!) who is also familiar with all the surrounding stations, I'd be inclined to recommend Hassocks even on a weekday. I think the charge is around £5 on a weekday, you should be able to get a space (particularly on the northbound side, where most of the spaces are), and as you're probably aware it's very easy to get to from the main roads towards Brighton. Even if you were to get there and find it full, there is a decent car park in the village (just off Dale Avenue) which always used to be free ... although I can't guarantee it still is! Maximum of 7 mins walk to the station from there.

A slightly leftfield suggestion would be Three Bridges station. Huge car park, really easy to get to from main roads into Crawley, and regular fast and stopping trains to Brighton. Slightly more expensive fare can be balanced against the saving on fuel and whatnot (I don't really know about the cost of driving - I can't drive :D)

Hi Hassocks5489...It's looking like Hassocks again for me then! I found it so easy last time, I was hoping I was wrong re weekdays! I parked over t'other side in front of the pub last time and didn't really clock the bigger car park on the N/bound side.

Thank you for your advice.
