Hi all, is there a chance that anyone could help me with the 91 diagrams for London to York/Leeds LNER services coming in during October or something?

I think it's these:

BN401
1D02 0633 Kings Cross-Leeds
1A49 1916 Leeds-Kings Cross
1N36 2300 Kings Cross-York

BN402
1A04 0605 Leeds-Kings Cross
1N81 0906 Kings Cross-York
1Y84 1202 York-Kings Cross
1N87 1506 Kings Cross-York
1Y90 1802 York-Kings Cross

BN403
1Y00 0440 York-Kings Cross
1D06 0833 Kings Cross-Leeds
1A26 1115 Leeds-Kings Cross
1D17 1403 Kings Cross-Leeds
1A41 1645 Leeds-Kings Cross
1D30 1933 Kings Cross-Leeds

Interesting this was sits around at Leeds/Neville Hill all day, as its return working would otherwise be the 0915 Leeds-Kings Cross (extended back to Bradford), and the 1916 would be formed off the 1633 King's Cross-Leeds (which is extended to Bradford).

Thanks. I’ve heard on a separate thread that all the York stoppers except the 14:03 (From York) would be 91s. I also heard on that thread about the 15:15 and 17:45 from Leeds being 91s - any ideas as to what is true?

It does seem a rather big gap.

It was reported elsewhere that the downturn from Covid meant only 3 diagrams would operate but it's possible that has or will change.

Interesting, thanks. If you or anyone else hear/knows anything, please post below.

Presumably not much else that can be done* with the set - I suspect also in part to make sure it's a Mk 4 set (rather than 80x) that does the overnight at York to meet the contractual criteria with Hitachi.

Presumably it'll go on Neville Hill during the day for a deep clean or someting.

*Aside from sticking it to Bradford and sitting there all day, not that there'll be a massive market for London-Bradford travel at 0633...

91119 was at Leeds in the west end bay platforms on 31st August at about 21:45 presumably arriving on the 1D30?

Sure? 1633 plus 2h15-ish journey time means arriving Leeds at 1845-ish. There wouldn't be time to go to Bradford FS and back for a 1916 departure from Leeds.

Reports that the 91 fleet is now contracted to East Midlands Trains at Neville Hill vice Hitachi Bounds Green due to rapidly declining realibility.

Anybody able to firm that up? My source is at Bounds Green.

Are the regular 91 diagrams changing with effect from Monday 14 December?

LNER website shows the regular 0706/1306 KGX - York going over to Azuma and also for 1233/1833 KGX to Leeds.

There appears to be a new 91 working with the 0833/1403/1933 KGX-LDS.

Can anybody in the know please confirm the regular 91 diagrams as from Monday? And also if this is just temporary for the Christmas/New Year enhanced TT uplift?

Thanks.

Those 3 diagrams mentioned above still seemed correct today. 91130 on BN401. 91101 on BN402 and 91114 on BN403

Doesn’t seem to have been many out today? And 91119 is last showing on Railcam at York since the 11th... Has it been stood down?

I have seen a little bit online saying all the remaining 225 sets are going into temporary store, does anyone have any further info on this?

I understand that they are moving from Bounds Green to Neville Hill, perhaps for ‘warm storage’ or similar. That is only speculation from other forums though.
Given the much reduced demand caused by the pandemic, I fear they may be quietly, permanently withdrawn with little prior warning.

From my understanding, there’s set to be some sort of overhaul taking place among the 225s, meaning they’ll come out of service during January. The idea is then that they’ll be in prime condition to operate into 2023 (and beyond?!) but rumour has it that they may not make a return, depending on whether the December 2021 timetable change goes ahead.

I saw 91127 at York in early December, and the BN depot sticker below the number had been replaced by NL

Thanks for the reply! Well I for one will be hoping that they do make a return!

I hope not but I guess we just have to wait and see, thank you for the reply :D

From what I can see, neither Skipton nor Bradford FS have any booked 91 / Mk 4 trains any more since the timetable change.

There were at least 3 91+Mk4 sets at Neville Hill when I went past this evening, so it looks like at least some of them have moved now. Don't remember seeing that many there normally, but I guess it might be due to the engineering work and they've not permanently moved yet.

There are three on there at the moment, pre-planned stabling due to engineering work.
