No Mk.4 DVTs have been sent to the scrap yard.

They are Mark 3 DVTs that have been stored at Long Marston for many years.
At least one Mk4 DVT has been scrapped - the one from the Great Heck crash (it was virtually demolished by a Class 66 and a Coal hopper...)

Those DVTs in Booths at Rotherham have been there for quite some months now, January I think, visible from the dual-carriageway road. A quick google finds a few photos, e.g. https://www.flickr.com/photos/23957864@N02/46758240521

Pretty much everything in that picture is doomed: the DVTs, the mk3, and Millmoor... which makes it rather haunting.
That's why they looked a bit weathered. To be honest it's ages since I been passed there so didn't know how long they had been sat or were a recent move
