Normanton to Leeds has always been a fairly basic hourly stopper, about five minutes to the hour, supplemented by the odd rush hour train (the express) stopping at around half past.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've noticed some of the morning trains that pass through on the hour after the stopper, had also been stopping at Normanton, giving a quicker arrival at Leeds due to avoiding Castleford.
However, today I can see no trace of these additional fast trains stopping, either on NRE or on the timetable.
What's going on. Why did these trains suddenly appear and disappeared ?
I'm very confused.
