Discrepancies between the London Underground working timetable and the Real Time Trains data.

I have noticed a couple of differences between what the LU working timetable says and what Real Time Trains says on the Richmond branch.

One discrepancy i have found is as follows:

On the LU working timetable (Monday to Friday) it says that the 16:25 goes to Dagenham East and the 16:36 goes to Upminster.

On the Real Time Trains site (Monday to Friday) it says that the 16:25 goes to Upminster and the 16:36 goes to Dagenham East.

So it would appear that there is some discrepancy between the LU working timetable and wherever Real Time Trains get their data from. They are showing the 16:25 and 16:36 destinations opposite ways round to each other. It is the same for any day you check.

Does anyone know which is right and which is wrong and which one goes where? I presume one of the sources has accidentally mixed up these two trains?

One other more minor discrepancy i found:

On the LU working timetable (Monday to Friday) it shows the Barking train as a 15:48 service

On the Real Time Trains site (Monday to Friday) it shows the Barking train as a 15:49 service.

So there is a one minute difference. This is the only one i have found so far that has a different time. Again it is the same for any day you check.

Does anyone know which of these two train times is actually correct? Is the train a 15:48 service or a 15:49 service?

These are the only discrepancies i have found so far but there could likely be others. I have only checked a small part of timetable.

I know trains often get amended and the timings can change or the destinations can change. But these discrepancies appear regardless of what date you select which is what makes me think someone has made a mistake somewhere.

If anyone has any information on this i would be very curious to know. It is the first time i have noticed such discrepancies.

The Working Timetable WTT155 is what the LU staff are working to, Line Controllers, Trains Managers and drivers.
I suggest the feed that Real Time Trains is incorrect.

These trains are included in the Network Rail data for the Richmond to Gunnersbury section that they own. TfL has their own systems for scheduling on LU which will be exported in some way to be published in the Network Rail version.

Looking at WTT154 and the Network Rail timetable data before the 13th January both those trains used to go to Dagenham East. Now one goes to Upminster with the destination mixed up but the termination time of actual final destination. Possibly those changes are somewhat manual or something has gone wrong in the export process. The TfL data would be correct and it's only if the times on the Network Rail section were significantly wrong it would be noticed as the Network Rail signallers will work according to that timetable.

The time difference is only half a minute, potentially that was slightly revised since August when the Network Rail data was published and looks to have been fixed in the upcoming May timetable.
