Do you think there should be a station at Trago Mills near Bodmin Parkway?

The track goes right past Trago Mills all it would need is some long long steps. Great for us bargain hunters. All it would need is a 1 fgw local service in each direction every 1-2 hours. :D

Well I know the lifts would be both long and popular as there would be a lot of stairs*

*Admittedly not as many as Porta Alpina would have needed but you'd have to be very fit to climb ~1000m** up stairs from the platforms to the surface

**that's 1000m vertically....

Get off my forums if you have nothing good to say! *geesh*
These are not your forums.

Please can you not post if you have nothing constructive to add, before saying that to others.

I have deleted several of your posts as they contributed nothing.

You are averaging 23 posts per day. If you were an experienced railwayman with lots of interesting tales to tell, and points to make, then I would not mind this huge quantity of posts at all. But not many of your posts actually add anything, and several are just a rant.

In this post, you've asked if we want a station at a place that many of us have probably never heard of. How about a link? Is there a case study? Any more information? What are we meant to base our views on? I tried searching for Trago Mills station to see if there was any stories about proposals to open a station, and the only result relevant to railways is you asking the question in this topic!

In case another doesn't know what Trago Mills is, IIRC it's a very down market superstore chain, selling all kinds of junk. I believe one of their stores burnt down recently, there's been rumours of some kind of dodgy dealings regarding this.

I believe there was also a story on here a while back about a derailment on a miniature railway at one of Trago Mills' stores.

It wouldn't surprise me at all, the owner isn't the most pleasant of men and is also very involved with UKIP

A large part of the Newton Abbot store was reduced to ashes due to an electrical fault.

All rebuilt now. Its quite good for getting some DIY bargains. The owner is also anti EU. In the entrance to the Newton Abbot store before it was burnt to the ground there was a sign declaring "Bollocks to Brussels"

Not sure if there is a thread on it, but the miniature railway did take a tumble around a year ago I think. Some fairly nasty cuts and bruises I think.

As for Trago Mills in Cornwall, ridiculous suggestion. Its been years since I've been down that way, but its in the middle of a wooded valley with the railway up on a shelf someway above the valley floor. Trago is on a main road which obviates the need for it as the access is good enough; the "proposed site" would be nigh on inaccessible by road for construction purposes, meaning everything would have to be done under possession; and there would be no viable customer base for it.
