Do you think there will be a Northern Rail and/or Transpennine Express sale this year

As the title says .. I am waiting for a sale (on Northern rail or TPE .. or both) so I can plan some day trips

Last year I was able to venture to several places at £1 a go .. a real bargain.

I wonder whether there will be any £1 sales this year ... the recent Rail Sale was a bit of a damp squib

I know there was weekend engineering work both sides (towards Newcastle / Manchester) of York last year as well, but I think that makes a sale less attractive. I'd guess against there being £1 sales going off of the absence of any in January; maybe a return of the Northern newspaper offer's likelier?
