More to the point every dog i have known has always hated the vacuum and try to attack it. They never show THAT on an advert.

You should meet my cousins' terriers -- or maybe you shouldn't. The scenario at their place, is a real-life illustration of Chesterton's dictum: "a dog is an excellent thing; except when the owner gets into the way of spelling the word backwards".

If I were a spokesperson on dog hygiene, it would most certainly not be the dog owners that I would be speaking on behalf of.
