A number of these adverts seem to go out of their way to claim their products remove embedded pet hair from furniture, yet after showing the removal of that item, the characters in the advert seem oblivious to the fact that the dog usually appears sitting on the furniture in the last scene of the advert when its owners should not allow such behaviour.

Paul - don' t over think things! it is an advert.

More to the point every dog i have known has always hated the vacuum and try to attack it. They never show THAT on an advert.

You should meet my cousins' terriers -- or maybe you shouldn't. The scenario at their place, is a real-life illustration of Chesterton's dictum: "a dog is an excellent thing; except when the owner gets into the way of spelling the word backwards".

Some dogs love that kind of cleaning (just look on Youtube), but i can not find 1 Dutch commercial. There is one with Volkswagen, but that is another cup of tea (after Louis van Gaal).
