Have a 19 minute change at Doncaster this Friday evening; am planning on this being where will get supper to eat on the next train. Although I’ve been in the distant past, I don’t know the station. All I can see online is vague statements about there being plenty of food which isn’t specific enough when supper is depending on it, especially after 8pm.

What sort of selection will be available to do this comfortably in 19 minutes?

Arriving on 19:58 XC from Durham changing to 20:17 LNER to Kings Cross scheduled to 3B and 1 respectively if likely platforms make much difference

There's a Burger King in the Frenchgate Centre open until 2100, other than that, at that time, you might be limited to bar snacks in the Draughtsman on the north end of platforms 1&3. Starbucks might be open over on the other platform too.

I've definitely noted all of the refreshment outlets on the station (except the Draughtsman) closed of an evening recently.

With only 19 minutes, I'd pick something cold up at Durham and save it till later.
Completely agree. Don't risk anything else.

None. Either take food on at Durham, or use the buffet on the LNER train, accepting the risk it might not be open, might not have anything you want, or might be more expensive than you want. 19 minutes isn't enough to do anything at Doncaster.

The only food actually on the platforms is Subway, but that may be closed by the time you get there. The rest are coffee shops or The Draughtsman, but it’s a real ale micro pub ans only does crisps as far as eats are concerned. Contrary to what others say, IMO if your trains are on time you will have time to get to the food outlets in the Frenchgate Shopping Centre, but you won’t have any wriggle room if there are queues to be served.

Sadly even at that time of day the Sainsburys in the Frenchgate Centre would have closed, so you couldn't make a quick dash across the road to pick something up, even if it was a sandwich.

My suggestion will be to try and get something from Durham before you board.
