Hi all,
Not sure if anyone can help but you never know. Im looking for some information on the Droitwich GWR Goods shed. There is very little information around that I can find on the net. I have 2 photos of it taken on 7/5/1967 from the RCTS websire. The photos (taken from a train) show the goods shed being demolished on that day.
As the images are black and white, its not easy to get work out if the shed was painted or not. The inside looks like it is natural wood (frame timbers are not darker than any thing else). The outside, if painted, was a light colour. There is no indication of doors being a different colour So I have a couple of questions about the shed.

1. Does anyone know if there are any photos (or have any) of the shed before it was demolished?
2. Any idea if the shed was painted? If so what colour?
3. Does anyone know if there are any blueprints of it?

regards
Antony

Up the creek
Painting of the woodwork (doors, windows, awnings, etc.) and metalwork (gutters, downpipes, etc.) would likely have been the contemporary GWR scheme, which I don’t think changed much. There is a page ‘GWR building and structure colours‘ on the GWR Modelling site ( .gwr.org.uk ); there are also a number of books.

Thank you
The Middleton Press books often feature pictures of station facilities such as goods sheds. Can’t guarantee that it has any you want but this book covers Droitwich Spa. 2nd hand copies on eBay or Amazon may be cheaper.
. Ive just ordered the book from amazon.

Ive seen a website that details what you are talking about. Im going to guess its the same one. It is helpful so I shall look into it more. Thanks
