I'm thinking of moving closer to either East Croydon or Bromley South. Which station would be better for commuting up to Victoria?

According to Wikipedia, East Croydon has 9 trains/hr to Victoria and Bromley South has 5. I think the prices are the same.

East Croydon is very handy I think and you have the option of very regular services to London Bridge too.

Also, the trains run later from Victoria to Croydon then from Victoria to Bromley if you ever go out in London.

East Croydon without a doubt. Much better connections to everywhere apart from the Kent Coast.

Thirded, East Croydon. Bigger town than Bromley with more amenities and the added benefit of the trams.

Counter point: Bromley is a nicer place than Croydon. Many places are nicer than Croydon.

Having lived with East Croydon as my local station I agree it has the much better links, however from a personal point of view it is a dodgy area :L

I'd go for Bromley, it has a nicer feel than Croydon.

Travel time to Victoria from both is similar, although East Croydon would win on frequency / connections.

But for quality of life, go for Bromley. :D
