Hi all, I was just (as you do) browsing bustimes.org locally and Noticed that the national express 727 is registered as a local service between Thetford and Cambridge. I then Confirmed on the NatEx website that it is possible to buy tickets between the intermediate stops, all or which are under 15 miles apart (Thetford- Mildenhall 13 miles/ Mildenhall-Newmarket 10 miles/Newmarket Cambridge 14 miles). This made me wonder if, as this is a local service, national express were required to accept ENCTS passes on this route as I couldn't find any information about it anywhere. Are there any other examples of this (Outside Scotland) anyone can think of? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have had the TfL journey planner offer National Express for a local journey from Finchley Road to Golders Green but stuck with a regular bus rather than investigating.

Services "on which the majority of seats can be reserved in advance of travel (such as coaches)" can be excluded from ENCTS, according to the regulations. I doubt neither National Express nor the Local Transport Authority would want this or any other similar service included.

When the ENCTS started National Express was included on short distance journeys. This was then changed to no longer include coaches that could be booked onto.

More recently National Express are offering selected local journeys again however ENCTS has not been included again.
