The escalators between the low level station entrance and the main station have been closed for about two months.

I would refer the right honourable member to transport for London's escalators and works closures pages on their website where you will see that some of their projects can take a year or more to complete. And whilst this doesn't sound like it was amazingly well planned for a high use high traffic escalator Bank like that, it's not going to be a quick job. I wouldn't have thought

It does seem to be a pretty substantial rebuild of the escalators, which were getting on a bit.>>

On Friday the up escalator (between the entrance to the low level station and the mainline station) was open .

On Friday the up escalator (between the entrance to the low level station and the mainline station) was open .
For months, the down escalator was working with the up escalator blocked off, which seemed perverse to me.
Then the whole lot was closed.
At least it avoids the tiresome uphill stairs/lift diversion now!

Bump - Re Liverpool Lime Street Main Concourse...

Noted work has stalled on the redevelopment of the old travel centre into a new retail unit.

Been gathering dust for at least 3 months with no work done by Jamieson Contracting.

Anyone know what's going on?
