The London Amsterdam arrived Brussels 60 late and the 1452 Brussels London is showing 110 late leaving Brussels.....anyone know what's going on?

Rumour was that there was a cow on the line but no Eurostar staff will confirm that.

Been told there are no free drinks or water for 110 minute delayed passengers, is this usual? Can someone from Eurostar comment?

Have been telling as many fellow passengers as I can to claim their delay repay, many never knew about it!

The Eurostar website mentions "....a technical problem..."

All other trains on the London - Brussels route, in both directions, are on time.

It certainly seems Eurostar is very busy at the moment - not sure if anyone has had a recent experience? Lots of travellers for the summer means trains are showing as 'not available' and fully booked over the next few days.

Still at Brussels (1700) but at least ON the train now. To be fair to Eurostar they have just brought round plenty of water bottles and free waffles...(it is Belgium after all). Given it's 32c here I wonder if heat has played a part in the delays?

There's a spare seat next to me on train 9141......! Our carriage is about 80% full (standard class). Still in Brussels though......just moving at 1708, 136 mins delayed.

There definitely will have been a disruption of Eurostar services as the high speed line between Belgium and the Netherlands was closed for a while today due to a points failure.
Maybe your Eurostar has been waiting for delayed passengers from Amsterdam, as the 14.52 service does pop up in the journey planners connecting to a Thalys from Amsterdam.

Interesting, no mention was made of that at Brussels. Train failure cited and delay attributed to awaiting a replacement set. Now in tunnel ETA St Pancras 1815. Some seriously cheesed off folks aboard who've missed flights from LHR to eg: New York........

Eurostar has made an announcement regarding 60% compensation (in vouchers), nowhere near as good as the EU flight delay compensation.....

I was delayed by Eurostar on a journey to Paris last December, meaning that my onward TGV connection was missed.

No real info from Eurostar staff onboard beyond the obvious, but at a designated time passengers with connections were invited to attend the buffet car where an official ‘confirmation of delay’ notice was posted. If you’re going to miss a connection you take a photo of this notice and show it at the ticket office where you missed connection starts from and they arrange for you to travel on an alternative service.

Thanks to a very pragmatic member of SNCF staff although the TVGs through to my destination were all fully reserved he managed to work out an appropriate route for me using regional services. In this country we could just board the next train and find an unreserved seat or stand until one became available…

You need to be 3 hours late to qualify for EU flight delay compensation I believe

Oh.....!

Eurostar were endorsing paper tickets with a stamp for onward travel there were a number headed for Edinburgh who'd missed connections but were in line to get the 1827 (and last) departure!
