Have a Eurostar journey booked for a few weeks time, outbound on the 13th, return 14th

"Non flexi / non returnable / non exchangeable"

I didn't book it so I don't know the basis on which they were sold..

Anyway, plans have changed and I now want to travel out on the 14th.

I have both e-tickets and they seem like individual tickets as opposed to a NR "2 part return" so .. can I buy a new one-way outbound and still use the return on the 14th ?

with a normal Return ticket in the UK, there's no problem with using the return portion if you've not used the "out" portion- the problem is using the "out" after using the "return". Indeed, there's often no reliable way to prove that the "out" hasn't been used as they're often swallowed by destination barriers if they are used- so someone that hasn't used it could simply not show a ticket inspector their unused (and un needed) ticket.

However, I'd check the Eurostar conditions of carriage carefully- check if you've got an actual return or two singles. It is common on the cross channel ferries to prevent the use of "return" journies without the "out" being used- they can use the check in procedure to verify this very easily. I think any remaining airlines that actually use "return" tickets can do the same.

There's nothing in Eurostar's Conditions of Carriage to suggest that not using the outward leg invalidates the return.

I've been in this situation in the past and checked with Eurostar Customer Services by email who confirmed there is no problem using the return only without using the outward journey. And indeed there was no problem.
