I just want to make sure i am correct here ..

I want to buy a family / friends railcard, with the two named adults as my daughter and myself

Can I then go on my own, with her daughter ? (my granddaughter), who is 7, sorry 8 (as of yesterday) .. she just told me off now

Is it simply a case of any one of the two named adults, plus up to 3 adults as long as one child goes

thank you

At least one of the named adults must be travelling with at least one child birth to fifteen inclusive - group size cannot exceed four adults and four children. Your understanding is correct.

thanks !

It really does seem quite a bargain .. even if paying the full price of £35

Travelling in May, so maybe there'll be an offer on before then .. fingers crossed

Reminds me that the first railcard I ever bought was when I was 16. I bought it to travel to London for a half term aunt-visit with my sister… who was 15.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers, if you’ve got them?

I don't usually shop in Tesco, but I do have the app.

Today I saw their app needs updating, so did that .. looks as if I actually have 3 vouchers .. £4, £4 and £2.50

Does this count the same as money .. I vaguely remember seeing ages ago, the vouchers are sometimes actually worth more than their face value, if that makes sense. Or is that an old thing ?

Yeah, for 'partners', e.g. Railcards, it's worth double, normally. It says on the clubcard page. So this would be worth £21 in a purchase with one of their partners, or £10.50 at Tesco

£10.50 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers is potentially "worth" £21.00 when purchasing a 1 year 'Family and Friends' railcard. However, I think that Tesco are only able to process such an application in blocks of £2.50, so that's only £20.00 (2 x £10.00) off the cost of a £35.00 railcard, and you'll need an extra £15.00 card payment to complete the purchase. You *might* also lose the spare £0.50 Clubcard value, although I'm not 100% sure about that aspect.

Tesco Clubcard said:
Turn every £2.50 in vouchers into £5.00 to use with 1-year Family & Friends Railcard

In the past, Tesco Clubcard vouchers have sometimes been worth 3 x face value on certain redemption offers. No longer the case.
