Hi,

This half term on a weekday with a Network Railcard, I'd like to finish off SWR route coverage and want to know if a Farnborough North - London Zones 1-6 return would be enough for the following sections I'd like to travel on:

Wokingham/Ash Vale/Weybridge/Windsor Riverside - Feltham - Hounslow Loop both ways - Clapham Junction
Shepperton - Kingston Loop both ways - Clapham Junction

Simple version: Everything north of the SW Main Line that SWR operate.

If there's better suggestions, I'm happy to hear them.

I'm up for cracking all the bits in one day and don't mind early morning start or late night finish as I'll book a hotel at a nearby place (Staines or Aldershot area)

Over to you. Thanks.

Surely the Windsor Riverside branch and the Shepperton branch beyond Hampton (both being outside the London Zones 1-6 area) are also both off route when travelling from Farnborough North to/from the London Zones 1-6 area on a Travelcard? Or am I missing something? :?:

The Windsor branch and the extremity of the Shepperton branch are outside of Zone 6 so are definitely not covered.

What would be the best tickets to buy to cover them to go with the Farnborough ticket?

Staines to Windsor & Eton Riverside and Boundary Zone 6 to Shepperton, neither of which will be priced low enough to qualify for a Network Railcard discount.

Fixed that for you, but otherwise I concur.

Minimum fare is £13, midweek, to qualify for Network Railcard discount, isn't it?

You can save a small amount by waiting till 12noon and buying an Evening Out for each but you might need to be careful with evening peak restrictions FROM London.

I presume Virginia Water to Weybridge is covered on your original ticket an route to/from London (I haven't checked) - you could then go on to Walton and catch a bus to Shepperton (not covered by your TC).
