Now, I always thought, and Wikipedia says so too that Felix bus+coach are part of the Wellglade Group.

WIKIPEDIA QUOTE:
"The most recent acquisition of Felix Bus & Coach which already shared two bus routes with TrentBarton these being Black Cat and Ilkeston Flyer. The Ilkeston Flyer service remains as of June 2013 and is operated by both Trent Barton and Notts+Derby, the black cat journeys ooperated by Felix originally passed to Midland General but during 2013 they were taken over by Notts+Derby and renumbered 11."

So this is saying that they don't operate any public bus services now.

Another quote says the same: "Felix Bus Services was a small British bus and coach operator based in the village of Stanley, near Ilkeston in Derbyshire."

So, you type the company name onto google and comes up with there website! They are VERY active-loads of 2013 day trips and holidays!

But it says they are operated by 'Swiftsure travel' so do Wellglade own them or are they separate now?

ANOTHER QUESTION:

MIDLAND GENERAL: I quote from wikiedpia:

"Midland General is one of the subsidarys of the Wellglade Group who until May 2013 operated the Black Cat services which were aquired with the acquisition of Fleix Bus in 2012, they've also operated the Bargain Bus services around Nottingham which were started in comeptition with Premiere Travels services Red2 to Cotgrave and Red4 to Long Eaton but BB2 to Cotgrave and BB4 to Long Eaton were withdrawn soon after Premiere Travel withdrew their services."

So, do they operate ANY services now?

"trent barton's holding company, Wellglade, also owns a number of other East Midlands bus operators - Kinchbus, Notts & Derby, Midland General, Derby Community Transport and T M Travel. Notts & Derby and Midland General are revivals of old bus operators' names."

What are Midland General?!

LAST QUESTION...

The quote above about TB's holding says hey also own Derby Community Transport. What/who is that/where do they operate?

Thanks in advance

From the same Wikipedia page on Felix,

"In December 2011 it was announced that the bus operations (Black Cat, (Ilkeston Hospital-Ilkeston-West Hallam-Stanley-Chaddesden-Derby) and the Ilkeston Flyer (Ilkeston-Derby, limited stop)) would be sold to Midland General, a subsidiary company of Wellglade, the owners of TrentBarton, who also operate a Black Cat between Ilkeston and Derby, and the other two Ilkeston Flyer departures each hour. This transfer took place on 29 January 2012, the bus services then operating from Trent's Meadow Road garage in Derby, as a separate unit.

The coach holidays and day excursions are now operated under the Felix name by Swiftsure Coaches in Burton-on-Trent.

Felix continued to operate some school journeys into Kirk Hallam until the end of March 2012, when subsidies were withdrawn by Derbyshire County Council.

The operators licence expired at the end of April 2012, it was not renewed and operations from Stanley came to an end."

Bargain bus has definitely finished, however it wouldn't surprise me if they came back if Yourbus' new routes get lots of passengers.
The tram is not owned by Wellglade, but by a consortium which Wellglade are part of.
Wellglade also have/had a 11% stake in First Leicester. There is also Unibus which although is part of Notts and Derby, have buses in its own livery.

Please can you quote from those links, or at the very least make them clickable.

Believe the above is a forum rule.

It'd hep if you made it clear where you were quoting this from. I found it on the Wellglade page of wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellglade_Group#Midland_General).

This is correct.

The other links you've nearly posted talk about the Midland General routes being de-registered (and one is from over 2 years ago) .

They still operate a service to Derby Football Ground, some local pre-bookable services in the Derby area and some supermarket buses:

*Registration number Operator Start point Finish point Service numbers
*PC1082710/1 THE MIDLAND GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY LTD Derby Area Derby County Football Stadium Dial a Bus

*PC1082710/2 THE MIDLAND GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY LTD Derby Area Any Hospital or Health Centre with the operating boundary Health Ring & Ride

*PB1040823/3 THE MIDLAND GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY LTD Silverdal Monks Elite Nottingham Elite 191
*PC1082710/3 THE MIDLAND GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY LTD Derby Area Derby City Centre Dial a Bus
*PC1082710/4 THE MIDLAND GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY LTD Derby Area Supermarkets with the operating area Dial a Bus

Dereck Scrimshaw the Chief Engineer from Langley mill drover her away for component removal. i think she went to brace bridge heath of lincs road car. a very sad day.

The 191 Silverdale to Nottingham disappeared years ago and is now a Nottingham Local Link Service.
Midland General IS listed as an operator in the Feb 2013 Mid & South Derbyshire Timetable Book BUT I can't find any services for them - the Supermarkets & Footballs are all listed as Notts & Derbys or other operators.
The Derby City Dial A Bus is listed at Notts & Derbys Depot.

Midland General was set up with the intention of creating a sizeable operation on the Mansfield area. They picked up a contract for the 145 service which used a vario in notts and Derby livery with Midland General names. They also started a 146 service which was essentially a Sutton staff shuttle. The 145 was lost to Doyles and the 146 was integrated into the threes.

As such there were a number of 'O' licenses being unused. As such when Wellglade bought Derby community transport the buses were given Midland General discs. These are the services on VOSA.

Midland general licenses have also subsequently been used on both Bargain bus and on the bus services taken over from Felix. The former no longer exist and the latter are ran by Notts and Derby.

Swift sure operate tours under the Felix name using a Bova on swift sure livery with Felix names.

So what routes do Derby Community Transport operate?

And with a bit of luck they may bring back bargain buses?

Derby community transport run a fleet of Mercedes and Fiat minibuses for demand responsive work.

Bargain bus is unlikely to return as it gave wellglade a lot of bad publicity and yourbus don't compete solely on price like premiere did.
