hi guys i just thought i would do a thread on football shirt prices, with the new season about to start i went to get the new mk dons shirt and i was shocked at the price 40 quid for an adult shirt and 33 for a kids one, now to me thats a rip off, you can go to places like sports soccer and get man utd/ liverpool/ arsenal shirt for about 30 quid, do you think its right a league 2 club charge that much? this year he kit is done by nike, just because they now do the kit the price goes through the roof, i only paid 26 quid for my last dons shirt.

remember kits only cost about a fiver to make?

*rant over*

what do you guys and girls think is a fair price for a football shirt?

£40 for an MK Dons shirt??!! :o Man City shirts are only £30, and £27 for Seasoncard holders! (Mind you, I still can't afford £27...:p)

MK Dons will be trying to generate cash, as the club lower down the Leagues get less and less money from TV rights etc. Premiership clubs get £50 million a year off Sky - clubs lower down get next to nothing!

IMO, a fair price for a shirt is £30 Adult, £15 Child. I think Seasoncard holders should get about 50% off too...

that's far too expensive. I got an England Shirt (the previous one when it first came out) at £15 or £19, I can't remember, but thats far too much for MK Dons. Maybe they're trying to regain some money from the cost of the new stadium.

dont forget they did not pay for the stadium? the land at denbigh where the new ikea/asda and the stadium have opened belongs to mr winkleman, the only way that asda and ikea could build there stores was if the two clubbed together and built the staium ( some say that is an urban myth) but i believe it 100%. a club like the dons would not be able to afford a stadium like that.

I hear AFC Wimbledon shirts are only around £15. Proper Dons shirt if you ask me.

On a more serious note, they're £40 for MKFranchise because that shinny new stadium costs money. Why could of Dongs sorted out there players before wasting millions on a stadium with half the seats missing.....
