Would you get any overtime with the Customer Service role?
Is it a good firm to work for, currently in talent pool with Northern for conductor role and not sure wether to apply or not as it's less money than conductor but more than what I'm on now.
Since I'm ex WSMR I may aswell give the customer service assistant a go...
Might as well apply. You can always jump ship to Northern if the opportunity arises.

One of your ex-colleagues is now a driver on the Tyne and Wear Metro.
With you name as a user ID if that is your name this is not an advisable post regarding your future career.
I'm not intending to apply, I was suggesting it to euity30 who was in two minds.
Anyway my name may (or may not) be IanD - but that is not a unique name by any means. Here in my office of 60ish staff there are three people called Ian whose surnames begin with D (maybe including me and maybe not!) so I don't think I have anything to worry about even if I did apply. It's not as if my username is IanDonaldsonOf7RiversCloseNewportPagnellMK166TFDOB24011972
Before I put a speculative application in for a conductor, does anyone know where Grand Central do thier training?

Cheers buddy, will do that now, is travel paid for, live five mins from Bradford interchange so ok to work there, just training, a way to go Sunderland.
