Looks lovely although it would probably be quite money and time consuming to get it back up to scratch. I'd love to have it in our garden, I've even got the room. Unfortunately not the spare money, time or access for delivery.
When I read the advert I found myself thinking "Hmm, I wonder if? No no don't be silly"...

Also in GER territory is this railway carriage dumped in far worse condition about a mile outside of Mendlesham. It's location south of the village is close to the course of the old "Middy" (Mid-Suffolk Light Railway) line. See attached photo...

According to village legend (I lived there until the age of 10) it was used to house one or more prisoner(s) of war. It's a long shot, but I take it no-one on here knows any history of this carraige (or the likely type)? Or failing that, what kind of rolling stock was used on the Middy?

Out of interest, any idea what it would be worth once restored?

No idea as it's only worth what anybody might be prepared to pay but the restoration would be very expensive if it was done properly.
As it is now it may disintegrate on being picked up like so many do so anybody seriously considering spending money on it has more money than sense.

I'd still like it in my garden so I suppose I've got no money or sense. :|

That would look wonderful with a lick of paint and a model railway in it. Luckily I don't have £7,500 hanging around. ;)
