There's no seat 31 either smartarse

I'm guessing that the FC half of coach K is designated as a continuation of coach L for booking purposes, but I've never actually looked closely myself. I'll have a look later on in the unlikely event that someone in the know doesn't chime in.

I've just looked. If the train (and coach) is right way around leaving London, 31 and 37 are both single seats, table in front, facing the direction of travel, against the right hand window, in the front half of the coach. 37 is two seats ahead of 31.

I'm having a very similar issue. According to GWR twitter, the updated seating plan is something that the web team are working on.

I wonder if anyone might be able to give me a hint please. I'm attempting to reserve a table of 4 in Coach L by the Power Car, or failing that any table of 4 in the carriage, but the booking engine has offered me L 15 and 16 (I'm only booking two tickets, the other two people are booking their own tickets and one of them has L25, which I guess is miles away). Thank you!

I'll try and remember to look tomorrow.

Thanks Flamingo and swt_passenger for all your help

No worries. I spotted it when I was travelling on a HST (not working it, I hasten to add) so it was easy to wander down the train and look.

Tables of 4 in L are 2,3,4,5; 8,9,10,11; 14,15,16,17; 20,21,22,23; 26,27,28,29; 32,33,34,35; 38,39,40,41; 44,45,46,47. The two middle numbers are next the Windows, the two higher numbers at each table are facing forward when First Class is leading. 1 and 6 are a table of two, all others are single. 43 is the "accessable" seat (no table) 00 is the wheelchair space.

While I'm in the train, coach K buffets with 1st class can differ, but the one I'm traveling on tonight, 1&6; 7&12 are double tables, 13 is single seat, 2,3,4,5; 8,9,10,11; 14,15,16,17 are 4 seat tables, same layout as L.

Next time I'm on a composite, I'll look and see what the layout is.
