Plenty of reading to keep you busy here: https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...-to-southern-and-southeastern-in-2025.277465/Was out earlier and I saw this — a Southern 377 running a Southeastern service. Anyone have the backstory?
It has been announced hereYes, but it’s permanent transfers AFAICS. There’s a thread about it over in speculation (which is a bit odd now everyone knows it’s happening, but I don’t think there’s ever been a formal announcement).

- An extra 13 Class 377s to enter service between now and end of 2025
Between now and the start of the new Southeastern timetable, Southeastern will receive the first two additional Class 377 units following a joint agreement with Govia Thameslink Railway.
The trains will help provide a more reliable service and a better experience for customers with air conditioning, at-seat plug sockets, and improved onboard information.
A further 11 trains will enter passenger service before December 2025.
They will mainly be used to replace the older Networkers on the Maidstone East and Tunbridge Wells lines.
Ah thanks, hadn’t seen that mentioned before. It has been announced here
