Hoofdorp Station facilities?

Thinking of an overnight in/around Hoofdorp nr. Schiphol; but the town centre for food etc seems a long way from my possible hotels; apparently Hoofdorp Station's facilities are limited (as opposed to Sloterdijk!!) but I wonder if there's a shop/kiosk around where sandwiches/pasta dishes etc can be bought avoiding having to bus into town? Using streetview there does look like an outlet but that could be out of date. Thanks!

There's a sandwich shop and a döner place. The "Stationshuiskamer" also sells food and drinks, though not really something for dinner.
I do see three restaurants on Google Maps as well near the station.

Depending on how strcit you are with ride-on-rails or flex: BUS 300-a much longer line from AMS/Bijlmer-via Amstelveen-Airport (major source for workers)-Hoofddorp (Centre!)-and on to Haarlem runs ev 6/7,5/10 mins, mostly on its own separate way, artic. buses-use bankcard for check in/out, Airp-Hdp should be about 1,50//2€ each way-fare depends on what stop exactly. It runs even hourly nighttime.
IF there are shops/whatever open there on/near station, expect a fairly early closing (maybe even before dinner time for you)
Actually right now I sit in an NS_IC train bypassing Hdorp, so cannot check-have to change airpt.
This ´village´ (by now another outgrown commuter town) is called this way as it was once the major (Hoofd=head) settlement in one of the first lakes to be turned into usable land (Haarlemmermeer)

Plan is Schiphol > Hoofdorp and x-in my hotel, grab some food on the way to cover tea+ supper; then head out into town (Amsterdam) by train; returning from Liedesplien in the wee hours on the N97; the following day gives me more time to "shop around", so if anything's open around 5pm that will be fine (I've looked up that coffee place in the above post and they're open 'till 8pm!)

Looking to stay near Hoofdorp station as it's cheaper and easy to connect using buses or trains. Like the bus "flyover" around Hoofdorp!

Just an add - I've booked a few days in Hoofddorp in the middle of May. Hopefully the station shop will sell all I need, notice on the map that the town has a shopping centre but it's some way from the station and no bus - but the 300 takes you to another centre - Schalkwijk - about 15 mins away, there appear to be snack bars + shops selling rolls etc. The interesting part will be the ride along the dedicated busway with it's own "stations" something the Beeching cuts should have contemplated!

The shopping centre in Hoofddorp is actually very well served by the stop Hoofddorp Centrum right next to it. Served by two R-net routes from the station as well as some local routes, so won't be a long wait.

Looks like, as you ended up finding Schalkwijk, you've missed there are two bus stops at the station. 300 stops at the dedicated busway viaduct parallel to the train tracks, but many more buses stop at the stops underneath the railway platforms.

I've tried to find a local bus/stop to get me from the centre back to the station/hotel, but have found nothing - but your post has made me look again and I'm using the R-net site to find a way! 340R and 341R seem to do the job, thanks! There's just the one stop in the centre, no wonder I couldn't find it, but during the day they run every 15' or more frequently which saves a good kilometre walk!!
