Very impressed with the range this year.

I will be on the look out for the EMT HST set.........

and of course the Wrexham & Shropshire set........

although its a bit odd that they have produced the blue/grey Wrexham & Shropshire coaches and not the new silver livery ones, but I'm sure they will come along soon.......

Is it just the picture or is the EMT HST purple?

Why is the lower body on the SR 156 a different colour to the rest? (This bit with all the Dots)

I expect they'll be just like their real life counterparts, late, so you'll have to use the Cargo D stock untill there ready. :)

Personally im looking forward to getting the sound equiped 50037 'Illustrious' to double up with my sound equiped 50015 'Valiant' that i received xmas eve!
I'll definetly be getting a 4-VEP in NSE and i hope Bachmanns 4-CEP will sell well enough so they update it to its later condition and release that in NSE to. :)

On a train...somewhere!
I this year's range very much :D

Firstly the buffet car for my EWS management train that is on order

Then the lovely 'Pretendolino' coach pack looks very nice

I know the motor is bound to be rubbish but this does look rather tempting...

This may be a little presumptious but looking at the image supplied by Hornby their Reggie Rail 31 may have a central headlight making it perfect for a conversion into Network Rail Yellow.... <D

Supprisingly mostly my picks aswell - well with the addition of the LM Dogbox and potentially the 4 vep in BR Blue...

But, the only gripes i have with the 2010 range is:

1 Again, the number of steam era models far outway the modern image era models.

2 Only 2 Liveries on the Dogbox again this year...

3 Another load of BR Green and Blue Liveried 31s - Roughly the 3rd if not 4 Year in a row... Why cant we have something more interesting such as 31454 The Heart of Wessex in INTERCITY livery, or 31601 in Wessex Trains Pink... 31452 in Devon and Cornwall Railways Green or even a Network Rail liveried 31?

4 Virgin Trains Pretendolino Coach set - Only contains 3x Mk3s...So, as its a 10 service, youll still need to buy 7 more Mk3s - on top of that, and if they do it the same way as they did with the Blue Pullman Mk2 set, it will end up cheaper to by the Mk3s separatly again...

5. The Advenza 66...Just like the Yeoman 59 They released in 2007/2008, its the wrong tooling for said chosen livery... Ie The Advenza / Colas 66s have the 2nd versian lights, more like o o Wheares the Hornby / Ex lima 66 is
O O
IOo oOI

Mind you, at least they finnaly put the right livery back on the 59 this year, unlike the Yeoman 59/0 Which ended up on an Ex Lima 59/2...

But there is of course one model i knew was in production...Said 4 VEP:lol:

Still no Super Sprinter liveried 156 then! :|

Then again, that old 156 model should really be put in the Railroad Range anyway. The RRP for it is outrageous when you compare it to Bachmann's new all-singing, all-dancing 150!

Has anyone seen the new-liveried javelin set and pack? The livery is soooooo pretty. And the 4-VEPs look very nice. And then there's that Flying Scotsman pack(Y'know, the one that's american). And then there's the harry potter set that I want. Gimme a sec.......(items being added to christmas list)aaaaaaaaand done!

The Hornby range is quite nice this year, some good diesels.

I've got the EMT and XC HSTs on my list. Along with some other diesel locos and DMUs from Hornby and Bachmann

Really would like that XC HST, but with me going for steam, it's a lot of money for a train only going on display. I'm even unsure on weither to go for that 158 I mentioned for the same reasons.

The EMT HST and 153 look very tidy I may have to break with my usual method of purchase, (secondhand off ebay) to aquire them.
