Does Hornsey depot have full time depot drivers ?
Reason I ask is I saw an advert for train mechanics there , part of their job description is to move trains around in the depot.

I believe they are wheel lathe vacancies. So the train driving would be operating a bot the shunt in and out the lathe.

I don’t work in the Lathe but I regularly pass through and chat to those that do.
It’s a really decent job and the team there all have nothing but nice things to say about the Wheel Lathe manager. Nice crew of people, decent money and seems like a nice atmosphere in there. Hornsey is a good Depot to work in.*

The depot drivers will drop units onto the Lathe road. The Lathe workers will then attach a remote bot and shunt the unit into and out of the Lathe as there are no overhead lines in that section.*
