Are there any journey planners with an option to solely look up bus timetables?

I've tried Google but if you tell it to only include buses, it will come back with trains, if that is much faster.

For example, if I look up Guildford to Sutton and I only wish to use buses, Google gives me train options.

What I wish to do is simulate a train strike day when no trains would run. I accept it would take ages.

traveline.info has a journey planner. You may find bustimes.org useful, but it doesn't have a journey planner as such.

I tried the Traveline 'bus only' option (not including the coach option) but it included Flixbus (such as the Bristol-London 041) and Falcon express coach services on which the current £2 fare cap isn't valid so also wondered if there is any way of only including purely 'local bus services' for planning cheaper rides?

Has anyone used the traveline.info website recently?

I've recently changed my computer (which may or may not be relevant) and when I visit the website, I get the usual large background pretty photo of Caernarfon castle or wherever, but not the search "box" in the middle of the screen that enables you to enter to/from/time etc. details. Obviously, the lack of this search box makes the site about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Is there a problem with the site; or is it something my end? I've tried clearing cookies without success.

If you use the Traveline South West website, it does have a UK-wide journey planner that allows you to select/deselect specific modes. It does include coaches as a separate option to buses.

Green Line 755 / 757 is technically a "local bus" service, despite being operated by coaches. However it isn't included in the fare cap like other sightseeing services. Do you want it to be included as well?
