Leaving Cambridge with a bike

I'm planning a journey which will probably involve taking my bicycle on a Cambridge-King's Cross train on a Monday afternoon/evening. There are no specific restrictions on doing this, but I seem to remember reading in another thread about problems with too many people trying to take bikes on trains leaving Cambridge in the evening peak. Does anyone know whether there are any times or particular trains on this route that it would be wise to avoid, or would I be OK on the non-stop Kings Cross trains? -- I presume most homegoing Cambridge commuters with bikes aren't heading for central London.

Trains from Cambridge - London are always busy regardless of the time of day.

I should be okay as long as you don't turn up a couple of minutes before departure. Get there in plenty of time and board as soon as the train is announced and you should be fine.
