Trying to obtain refund from LNER, Cancelled journey due to storm Eowyn on Friday 24th Jan

Does anyone know if LNER accepts pictures of tickets cut in half via email or do you have to send via post the physical ticket?

Not sure whether you booked direct, but if you did I got my Covid refunds in a few minutes via the (then) Twitter. Awesome service, they just asked for my booking reference.
Alternatively phone them, I’ve always found them incredibly friendly and helpful.

Having done an LNER refund recently and now received the refund back onto my card you can indeed cut the tickets in half and send a photo.

I had to apply for a refund through my account and obtain a refund reference number which changes the status to awaiting tickets. Then I had to fill in the refund form where I was able to attach a photo of the image on the tickets cut in half. On the refund form I had to enter the refund reference number generated in my online account as the booking reference number as the booking reference number was a couple of digits short. I received my refund a few days later.

I was advised that I had to fill in the form as well and use the refund reference number through an reference number through a live chat with LNER.
